Trying to get MIDI pickups to track using GR-55 synth and Omnisphere sounds

I can't get it to track worth a #%@##$*@#%()(%*$!*#$ Not 100% sure why. If I turn up sensitivity, I get thousands of ghost notes and if I turn it all the way down it works better but still not tracking like it should. I play damn cleanly and it shouldn't output a note if I don't play a note. oh well...
