We Do Not Know Long Term Efficacy Of mRNA Vaccine, Says Virologist Dr Gifty Immanuel

The first approval for a Covid-19 vaccine has come -- for a jab developed by Pfizer-BioNTech. The approval has come from the United Kingdom, which will start vaccinating its people from next week. UK PM Boris Johnson hailed the Covid Vaccine breakthrough.

Speaking on India Today's special show Newstoday with Rajdeep Sardesai, Virologist Dr Gifty Immanuel said, "We do not know the long-term efficacy of mRNA vaccine."

On the other hand, Dr K Srinath Reddy said that this certainly may not be the only way to end the pandemic.
