In this video, I have ranked all the top VPNs in tiers. You’ll see which VPNs are the best, which ones are worth your money, and which ones to avoid at all costs.

There’s a lot to go through so let’s just talk about the winners and the losers.

Two VPNs that we absolutely do not recommend are Hidemyass and Hola VPN. As much as we enjoy their names, we don’t enjoy the fact that our data is just not as safe as we would like it to be.

We thought Hide.me, VyprVPN, Windscribe, Strong VPN, and IPVanish weren’t the worst but they’re still far from being good. They hit the basics but fail to really offer anything out of the ordinary. Some of these VPNs have a questionable history.

Hotspot Shield, PureVPN, Proton VPN, and PIA were fairly decent in terms of overall performance but there is still a lot to be desired.

ExpressVPN and CyberGhost always get our vote. Their brilliant performance and enhanced security measures make them great but they are a bit on the pricier side, which is why they are not in our top tier.

Our two top-tier VPNs are NordVPN and Surfshark. Both of these VPNs tick all the boxes and are our highest-rated VPN providers. Surfshark is our #1 pick while NordVPN ranks second on our list.
