When You Play The Villain Too Well.....

All great stories need an antagonist—whether it’s a character, a specific conflict, or even an entity. The point is, there must be a force that acts as a counterbalance to the protagonist; otherwise, the narrative simply doesn’t move forward. That’s what makes an antagonist useful, but then there are the villains—those characters who are truly good at being bad. The 90s are full of great movies that shaped the childhoods of many of you watching this video right now. How could we forget when Mufasa was betrayed by his brother Scar, or how Judge Frollo used his authority to systematically humiliate Quasimodo? However, we’re not here to talk about Disney, even though some of its villains are more serious than they seem. We’re here to talk about real life. To talk about the actors who completely lost themselves in their roles, to the point where it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn’t in their performances.
