Race to 4

About the Taiwanese Carom or 235:
Taiwanese Carom, also known as 235 or 四粒仔 (sì-liā-á), is a challenging pocketless billiards game where players score by completing a three-shot sequence: hitting yellow-red (or red-yellow), then red-red, then all three balls for a single point, emphasizing skill, control, and complex shot-making, popular in Taiwan for its unique combination of carom billiards techniques.

How it Works (The 2-3-5 Sequence)
To score one point, a player must execute these three shots consecutively with their cue ball (usually yellow or white):
Shot 1 (Yellow/Red or Red/Yellow): Hit the yellow and red object balls.
Shot 2 (Red/Red): Hit the red object ball twice (carom off one red into the other).
Shot 3 (All Three): Hit all three balls (cue ball, yellow, red) with one shot.

Key Characteristics
- Pocketless Table: Like other carom games, it's played on a billiard table without pockets.
- Three Balls: Uses a cue ball, a yellow object ball, and a red object ball.
- High Skill Ceiling: Considered difficult, requiring precise cue ball control, spin (English), and force management.
- Origin: A unique Taiwanese invention that blends various billiards skills, making Taiwan strong in world billiards.

Scoring Variations
While the 2-3-5 sequence is the core, some players might use different point values (like 2-3-5 points for each step), but generally, completing the sequence earns one point, making it a hard-earned achievement.
