Southern Pecan Pie Recipe: How to Make a Southern Pecan Pie | I Heart Recipes

Hey y’all! Today I’m sharing a step-by-step guide for a classic holiday dessert. Southern Pecan Pie! https://iheartrecipes.com/southern-pecan-pie-easy/

Not to brag, but this is one of the best pecan pie recipes around! I’m not stingy with the ingredients. I use lots of pecans and plenty of eggs (no runny custard around here, y’all!). Bourbon vanilla extract and a bit of nutmeg give this pie a great flavor. I use store-bought crust to save time, and to make things a little bit easier on myself during the busy holidays, but you can definitely make a crust from scratch. Let’s get baking!

Beat together eggs, sugar and melted butter. Add in light corn syrup, nutmeg and bourbon vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Add the chopped pecans to the bottom of a pie shell, top with the egg mixture, and bake for 50 minutes. Once the pie is completely cooled, it’s time to dig in, fam!

0:24 - Add granulated sugar.

0:55 - Add pecans to the pie shell.
1:10 - Pour the liquid into the pie shell.
1:20 - Bake until done.
1:40 - Cool, slice and serve.
