Better Than Season 1 But Could Be Better... Daredevil Born Again S2 Review

The Devil of Hell's Kitchen has returned to Disney+, but did it live up to the legendary Netflix pedigree? In this full spoiler review, we are diving deep into the 8-episode second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Coming off the massive cliffhangers of Season 1 and the devastating loss of Foggy Nelson, expectations were sky-high for Matt Murdock's war against Mayor Wilson Fisk. But while the back half of the season felt like an action-packed 3.5-hour movie, it fell into some major structural trapdoors that held it back from true greatness.

Today, we are breaking down the entire narrative: Matt Murdock's legal and vigilante crusade to stop Fisk’s brutal Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF), the raid on the weapon-smuggling ship Northern Star at the Red Hook port, and why Matt's moral compass felt weirdly flexible this season. We also dissect the incredible return of Wilson Bethel as an unhinged Bullseye, Krysten Ritter’s flawless comeback as Jessica Jones, and Tony Dalton as the Swordsman. Finally, we address the biggest gripes: why the show focused way too much on the supporting characters instead of Matt, the complete and illogical absence of Frank Castle (The Punisher), and how the underwhelming finale lacked both true justice and finality.

Did Marvel deliver the gritty masterpiece we were promised, or did the massive superhero competition of 2026 leave the Man Without Fear in the shadows? Find out my final verdict and why Season 2 earned a 7.5 out of 10 on the Couch Score.
