The National Anthem ("Kulluna Lil Vatan"): Meaning "All of Us, For Our Country!", the anthem was officially adopted on July 12, 1927, during the French Mandate period and just a few years after the establishment of the State of Greater Lebanon. The inspiring lyrics were penned by the legendary poet Rashid Nakhle (who reportedly wrote them in a single sitting in his hometown of Barouk!). The magnificent music was composed by Wadih Sabra, a pioneer who beautifully blended Western classical training with Eastern musical traditions. When Lebanon achieved full independence in 1943, this historic piece stood tall as the unified voice of the nation. It was home to the ancient seafaring Phoenicians, who spread the alphabet across the Mediterranean. Throughout the millennia, it was ruled by the Romans, Byzantines, Arab Empires, and the Ottomans. Framed by beautiful mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, its ultimate symbol is the sacred Cedar of Lebanon—a tree representing immortality and pride that dates back to ancient biblical times. This cover honors the deep cultural heritage of this unforgettable country.
