Technically this is a chubutensis, the ancestor to the megalodon. This is a rare find in Florida, to find a chub of such high quality and significant size (3 and 7/8ths inches). This is the kind of adventure fossil hunters dream of. We found not only a prestine chubutensis, but also a couple smaller teeth, megalodon & snaggle tooth. We found a couple great vertabrae as well. One whale, and one that could be either Horse, Bison, Tapir, or Llama. But that wasn't it... we also found an entire lower jaw of a horse, with every molar still in place...
