Flying Scotsman-Ride the Legend 2004

Ripped from a VHS, this is a trip my parents took me on in 2004, when the worlds most famous steam locomotive, Flying Scotsman had been saved for the nation by the National Railway Museum in York.

To celebrate, Flying Scotsman ran a series of Scarborough Spa Specials, consisting of two trains a day, forming the Lunchtime Excursion and the Evening Sundowner Special.

This is our video when we travelled on the Lunchtime Excursion.

I would spend the rest of the summer and following summer, working as a steward on what was a memorable time.
