Junior Johnson's Short and Unusual Indy 500 Attempt

The first NASCAR driver to attempt the Indy 500 was the iconic Junior Johnson in 1963. The car he drove was if an Indy Car and a stock car had a baby with a full roll cage over Johnson. But the car was slow and Junior quickly left. It's an unusual design that saw an early form of head protection brought to IndyCar.
