In this, the third episode of a 4 part series exploring the history of the American bison, its near extinction, its rescue, and its future, I tell the story of how despite overwhelming odds, the bison was rescued from extinction by those who deeply cared for the animal.

Our story takes us to Yellowstone National Park and to a lone canyon deep in Texas.
