Armed Forces personnel serve in very tough conditions and frequently have to be separated from their families for field tenures. In the absence of father, the full responsibility of running the household, looking after the children's schooling, care of old folks at home etc befalls on the service wife. Without their backend support no army person can give his best attention to the National Duty he is expected to perform on the front, in No War No Peace situation and even during active hostilities.
We need to recognise the exemplary support they provide to their husband's family, respect the service wives and help them howsoever we can!
