Computer Sudoku Solver Freaks Out!

Today's puzzle is another in the series of sudokus we've been featuring where the world's best setters showcase a brand new classic sudoku technique they've discovered. It's called Boomerang and it's the work of Sam Cappleman-Lynes. As you'll see from the start of the video, the computer solver has no clue how to solve this puzzle logically... can you discover the trick?
