Build XOR Gate Using CMOS | PMOS & NMOS Explained

In this video, we build an xor gate using cmos transistors and understand how it works step by step.

The circuit uses four pmos transistors, four nmos transistors, two inverters, two switches for input a and input b, two batteries, and one LED to observe the output.

We analyze all input combinations and verify the xor gate behavior:

when a = 0 and b = 0 → output = 0
when a = 0 and b = 1 → output = 1
when a = 1 and b = 0 → output = 1
when a = 1 and b = 1 → output = 0

At the end of the video, we also observe waveforms where:

left side shows input a
middle shows input b
right side shows output

This helps beginners understand how cmos logic gates are built using pmos and nmos transistors.
