"God is Good Even When it’s Bad" - Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller

Pastor Bobby continues a sermon series entitled “Serenity in Your Storms.” This series will focus on the power, importance and promise of a serene mind and a peaceful heart. Whatever storm you’re going through in life; whatever challenge you’re facing, God can give you serenity, peace of mind, clarity of thought and purity of heart to endure anything. Today’s message: “God is Good Even When it’s Bad.”

Vivan Mabuni is an author, mother, breast cancer survivor and for 30 years has been a ministry partner with Campus Crusade. Her new book Open Hands, Willing Heart looks at what it truly means to take a posture of surrendering to the Lord amongst our fears and uncertainties, while living open-handed. Her book is available wherever books are sold.

Joslyn Sarshad is a vocalist from Boulder, Colorado who has been a part of the Hour of Power Choir family for seven years. A graduate of California State University Fullerton with her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Joslyn is grateful to be putting her degree to work by singing in the Hour of Power Choir, Pacific Chorale and John Alexander Singers, as well as teaching voice, piano and guitar lessons. Today, Joslyn performs “Peace be Still” (comp: Hope Darst; Mia Fieldes; Andrew Holt; adapt/orch: M. Riley). She is accompanied by Sarah Grandpre and the Hour of Power Choir, and guest conductor Jim McMillen and the Hour of Power Orchestra.

Who’s Clayton is an acoustic duo with an eclectic style blending pop, folk, jazz and blues. This Los Angeles based group plays a combination of their own original music, as well as covers from today’s popular artists. Vocalist Rory Deming joins Who’s Clayton members Joshua Elmore and Kevin Rose to perform “Glory” (comp: Josh Pantana; arr: Who’s Clayton). They are accompanied by the Hour of Power Orchestra, with guest conductor Jim McMillen.

Directed by Sarah Grandpre, the Hour of Power Choir performs “Holy, Holy, Holy!” (comp: Joel Raney; Reginald Heber; John B. Dykes). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the organ and guest conductor Jim McMillen and the Hour of Power Orchestra.
