CHEROKEE - ALABAMA TO ALASKA 8

Days 10 and 11: February 14th - 15th, 2020

Heber Springs, Arkansas

Before continuing our journey further north we decided to have both our airplanes’ engines checked by a mechanic.
These past few days our engines have indeed been a little difficult to start. We wanted to find the cause and correct it before flying into colder temperatures.

Chris and Brennan from the local maintenance shop found that the electrodes of the spark plugs were twice bigger than what they should be. The White Dove also had her primer nozzles clogged.

After completion of this successful preventive maintenance we departed to Kansas.
For a short flight however...
