Today’s video comes straight from a community question about where to invest money for the best return. It’s a great question because not only does it give us an opportunity to highlight some high return investments but also to talk about the risk-return tradeoff. I’ll countdown from the safest investments for your savings and emergency cash to the best investments you can make.

Now you might be thinking…only seven investments? Yes, there are more than seven ways to invest your money but you’ve probably already seen most of them in other videos. In this video, I wanted to highlight the seven best investments you’ve never heard of, seven high return ways to invest your money for new ideas. Stick around to the end and I’ll show you how to put all this together for a customized portfolio that is perfect for your level of risk and return.

I’ll start with the safest investment you can make and it’s not Treasury Bonds. I’ve found the best kept secret on Wall Street and it’s a way to get a risk-free return that is twice the rate you get on the popular government bond. Then I’ll show you another investment that is nearly as safe but pays you 200-times the interest you get on your bank account. It’s a great way to invest savings or emergency cash and make a higher return.

We’ll then look at other investments, each with slightly more risk and higher return. I’ll show you how to increase your dividend yields but still get safer returns than stocks. Then we’ll look at two ways to invest in real estate, one that is almost completely passive. I earned nearly 20% on one of these and you definitely want to check it out.

Answering the question of where to invest money has to be asked on a personal level though. You have to know the level of risk you’re able to tolerate without too much stress and find the investments appropriate for you. One way to do that is to watch through the list and pick the investment that seems right at the level of risk you can handle. Then invest in the two or three investments around that level to give yourself a mix of lower-risk, safe investments as well as higher return investments.
