Nikkei - seaching for Japan in Brazil
Premiered at the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival May 2019, this film explores a unique migration, when Japanese people started a new life in Brazil. It shows how these migrants and their descendants (the Nikkei) made a life between two quite different cultures whilst helping to create the Brazil of today, and traces one Nikkei's roots back to Japan.
