Juliana Carver - Bone Marrow Transplant + Day 5& 6 (May 4 -5, 2016)

UPDATE ON JULIANA. Juliana received a bone marrow transplant last Friday (April 29th). Since then she has had SERIOUS fever, HIGH heart rate (170bpm constantly), breathing problems and more. In the last two days her fever is gone and they are working on helping her with her breathing.

Juliana is DETERMINED to get well and get out of the hospital ASAP. She wants to see her lab results and blood work daily as she knows what it's going to take for the hospital to release her to go to an apartment near the hospital to continue to get better.

She is FRUSTRATED that she can't do what she's used to doing (walking, being able to bathe herself and other day to day activities). She keeps saying "it's so annoying" that she can't be more independent. When she asks for something Tammy and I rush to get it. She says, in her raspy voice, "stop rushing...you don't have to hurry."

Juliana is NOT a giver-upper but this is challenging her at an entirely new level. This is Juliana...our youngest daughter who is an OVER ACHIEVER!! Cancer has kicked her butt for way too long.

Some of the footage you will see is pretty raw (in the recovery after one of her medical procedures). Juliana knows, as do I, that more people need to see what pediatric cancer does to children.
