Grief is grief but grieving the death from suicide leaves you with in a far deeper hole; you’ll question every encounter, every memory if they were authentic and if it had any influence leading up to the tragic event. It can shake you to the core, hitting and staying at rock bottom for some time. So in the light of striving to save at least one soul, Lei Fernandez shares the 5 insights from processing losing a loved one from suicide.

Mr. Fernandez is a marine engineer aboard international offshore vessels. He is a dad-jokes enthusiast and the founder of Balanghay Learning Community, a safe and inclusive space that promotes holistic development and accountability. He has experienced countless up and downs in his life, but none of that really prepared him for what happened two years ago. Although it incapacitated him for some time, he is now open to sharing his insights from that unfortunate experience in the hopes that it might help others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
