One thing to be concerned about when keeping tarantulas are ants! and that’s exactly what happened to my Avicularia sp. “Ecuador” (Ecuadorian Pink Toe). However, this time it’s way worse - THEY MADE A NEST IN THE ENCLOSURE! Thankfully, though.. I noticed it in time and they didn’t attack the tarantula. It was even to a point that they started laying eggs in the substrate! Looks pretty cool, but I have to get rid of them for the safety of the spider.
