Building the Ultra-Deep Sub That Dives 11,000 Meters & Shatters Records | Blueprint

The Triton 36000/2, or as she’s known to her crew the Limiting Factor, is a game changing submersible that is built to explore the ultra-deep ocean. This ground-breaking vessel’s list of accomplishments already includes reaching the bottom of each of the five oceans, as well as more than ten dives to the deepest place on planet earth, Challenger deep. The sub can reach depths of almost 11000 meters, greater than the height of the world’s tallest building stacked end to end 13 times, allowing a two-person crew to spend up to 16 hours underwater.
