850Hp "The Ghost" ´36 Chevy V8 || NASCAR Legend Creation

Nascar Legend Ray Evernham ( chassis specialist, former Crew Chief of Jeff Gordon, Team owner and TV personality) built this incredibly impressive machine dubbed "The Ghost" ( because of the Pearl White paint scheme used). A passion project and the culmination of over 20 years working on Stock Car racing, this 36´ Chevrolet Sedan based Monster blends bits of NASCAR Modified, Cup Series, Trans Am, and even IndyCar units.

Fully custom-built , no computers were used in this machine´s conception with all work being done the "Old-School" way, as it was during the 70´s and 80´s. Aerodinamically inspired on Indy cars and the Modified Sedans Mr. Evernham watched during the 60´s on New Jersey, this machine now benefits of "state-of-the-art" mechanical solutions and Electronics. Powered by a Naturally Aspirated 850Hp Chevrolet SB2 engine capable of reaching 9.000Rpm, it transfers all this power to the rear wheels through a custom Jerico Performance Solutions 4-speed Gearbox.

Built with Road Racing in mind, this machine raced on the 2018 edition of Pikes Peak HillClimb, posting an impressive 10:11.334 chrono, and was now present at Rod Millen´s driveway for Leadfoot Festival. The New Zealand narrow Hillclimb may not be the ideal piece of tarmac it, but it still impressed, almost breaking into the Final Top 10 shootout. Probably just a spin away from it....
