The attorneys made the argument over disclosures to defense experts and spent a considerable amount of time on scheduling and discovery. We learned that discovery in this case still isn’t complete and that the prosecution is still waiting on additional info from law enforcement. We heard from the defense again how much effort has gone into preparing this case for trial and that a trial date in late summer 2025 is when they anticipate being ready. They also discussed a motion for change of venue, the prosecution argued that it was premature to argue venue but ultimately the court set the motion for May 14, 2024. I wonder if at that time the Judge will decide that it’s truly too early to decide the motion…
