My Minimalist Apartment Tour | 1200 sq ft Open Concept 2 bed 2 bath

After 5 long months of furnishing, decorating, and redecorating, this apartment finally feels like it's ours!

Drew basically gave me complete creative reign on this project, and I had so much fun (and so many melt downs) turning an empty unit into a home 🤍

The modern finishes and open concept design of the space allows for a natural flow of light from two walls of south/west facing windows. It also made the space feel comfortable to us both almost immediately, creating a golden greenhouse effect on sunny days, which I attempted to accentuate with some tropical plants.

Since we came into this from renting 1 bedroom units and furnished airbnb's, we were basically starting from scratch in the furniture department. After many long hours spent on Pinterest and Architectural Digest, I took inpso from modernism, rustic design, traditional bauhaus, and a Scandinavian (minimalist) aesthetic... I call this "modern earth tones."

I did my best to shop 2nd hand and at Canadian stores, but of course there were exceptions made!
