Ekaterina 'Katia' Gordeeva is a legend in figure skating: 2-Time Olympic Champion, 4-Time World Champion, 3-Time European Champion and 3-Time World Professional Champion with her partner and late husband, Sergei Grinkov. Katia and Sergei (G&G) were known for their technical precision, yet it was a magical connection, artistry and charisma that truly resonated with fans around the world. Their impact on the sport can be seen in the programs of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, the precision of Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, and the lasting career of Marina Zoueva.

In this interview with Katia, I aimed to ask the questions that weren't included in 'My Sergei'. How did Gordeeva and Grinkov create such magic on the ice? Along the way, we chatted about Marina Zoueva, Tatiana Tarasova, Stanislav Leonovich, Stanislav Zhuk and a system that shaped their lives.
