How do these flowers make the chicken egg yolks brighter?

As you guys know we have these Roses of Sharon on the back of the chicken coops, and it turns out they have started to blossom and so I gave the chicken these flowers. And these flowers have carotenoids inside of them which makes the chicken egg yolks look brighter. So I gave all the chicken coops some and they really enjoyed it.
