[INTERVIEW] PAUL MARQUE, SUSANNE DANGEL et SABRINA MALLEM about Don Quichotte

À l’occasion de la reprise de Don Quichotte de Rudolf Noureev, Octave a rencontré Paul Marque, danseur Étoile, Susanne Dangel, responsable de production à la Direction des costumes et Sabrina Mallem, Maîtresse de Ballet. Chacun d’entre eux apporte un éclairage sur cette pièce qui se déroule dans l’Espagne du XVIIe siècle. Entre aspects techniques et artistiques, ils reviennent sur la préparation de ce ballet : le travail d’interprétation d’un personnage fougueux comme Basilio, la réalisation des costumes colorés des matadors ou encore la répétition des solistes et du Corps de Ballet lors de la scène des Dryades.

For the revival of Rudolf Nureyev's Don Quichotte, Octave met up with Etoile dancer Paul Marque, Susanne Dangel, Production Manager at the Costume Department and Sabrina Mallem, Ballet Mistress. Each of them sheds light on this piece set in 17th century Spain. Between technical and artistic aspects, they discuss the preparation of this ballet: the work of interpreting a fiery character like Basilio, the creation of the matadors' colourful costumes and the rehearsal with the soloists and the Corps de Ballet during the Dryads' scene.
