Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - walk across

A walk across the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge back to the mainland. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a famous rope bridge near Ballintoy in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. It spans 20 metres and is 30 metres above the rocks below. The walk across the bridge only takes about a minute or so, but it's not for the faint of heart! The wind shakes the bridge as you walk across and they've been known to close the bridge entirely if the winds are too strong. The bridge is not free to cross but it only costs a few euro. The views are well worth it!
