I've been working on this video for a couple of weeks now and strangely enough I'm quite pleased with the result. But it's not just that. It's the show that continues to unsettle me, to sneak up on me, to trap me in this feeling where you no longer understand. And this video.... life seems to be playing with me a bit, or maybe not. I accidentally listened to this song on Friday, April 16th and I was so taken with it that I thought to use it for a video. The same day, the özet of episode 14 came out and everything seemed connected....

During the editing process, I didn't really know what I was focusing on. It is not a particularly painful, angst video or one that highlights certain issues. At the same time, however, it seems to contain everything. Celal's lies, Mahur's fear, Maraşlı's ruthlessness, a love that comes suddenly, the desire to be close to each other, Celal's deception that grows day by day in his heart - the pain he feels for this but at the same time continues to carry on, determined, with a goal. The impossibility of stopping his feelings that continue to clash with his operation, as if loving would take him away from himself. But he finds himself accepting what he is and the love that is in his hands: Mahur's beating heart. But Mahur's hands are full of blood, lies and a family burden she cannot control. Will the warmth of Celal's love give her comfort? Because the love for her family does not seem to make her live. Neither does the love for her mother, who so gently and ruthlessly abandoned her in a world she doesn't know because no one has taught her the rules of the game. A game where there is death, pain, revenge, an unknown goal, lies. If Celal is no longer himself, what about her? Will she lose herself?

Looking at the final result, I can say that my mind worked on different levels, taking into account many elements. Here I try to give some insights, then maybe I'll write a longer thread on twitter.
– You never know where love will take you. Towards your loved one, whose family caused your suffering and that of your daughter. Towards someone who will bring down your family, slowly discovering the true darkness that reigns there, where you have loved and been loved the most. To something unknown but above all the loss of yourself.
– How far can you lie to your loved ones? Is the human being inclined to lie despite everything?
– Human touch as something necessary for the connection of two souls. Not only because you miss it, as if you never had it, but because you can finally feel something. As if everything that has come before and will come after can never be the same. An emerging feeling, rambling through your body, searching for more air to breathe in a watery case. Only now you can feel something, then the water will swallow you up.

P.S. The voices 0:44-0:49 are from Immortals (2018, Netflix). Although it is not Celal but Dmitry who speaks, I thought they were significant to his character and their dynamic.

"Does it matter?"

Even if he loves her, does it matter? Does it matter when he lies? Does it matter when she leaves? Does it matter when she is hurt? I haven't found an answer yet, Celal and Mahur may not even ask themselves this.. but it reminded me a lot of Celal's behaviour because he is questioning himself. Even if they love each other, does love matter the moment everything is discovered and she realises who he really is? But what if Mahur never finds out who he really is? Because we are all asking ourselves: who is Celal Kün, nickname Maraşlı?

I have at least two new videos in preparation. I don't know when I'll be able to publish them. One of them is an AU so I plan to work on it this summer with something 🔥🔥. As for the second one, I will try to publish it by the end of this season. Stay tuned! 🤭😇
