Why You're Bad At Time Management (Even If You Think You're Good)
Most people think they're good at time management. Then they sit down for a focus block and end up answering emails instead of moving the needle on what actually matters.
In this conversation, we break down the two biggest reasons time management breaks down for business owners and the people running their operations:
Time blocking without priorities. If your "priority" this week doesn't feed up to a real goal (annual to quarterly to monthly to weekly), it isn't a priority. It just feels like one.
Treating projects like tasks. The ebook, the big initiative, the thing you keep kicking down the road. It keeps getting pushed because it was never a task. It's a multi-step project that needs to be broken down before it ever hits your to-do list.
The fix isn't doing a seven-hour project in one hour. It's learning to move the needle on it, and protecting your highest-focus time for the work that counts instead of burning it on email.
If you run a business where people are the ones producing, this one's for you. Because if you don't know how to manage your time and your people, you're managing your business into the ground.
