Today I'm sharing how I use a modified Chinese cooking method in the US to make really delicious and tender salmon without a drop of oil. As we all know, salmon is the best source of protein, and vitamin B, it is also rich in selenium, potassium, iron, vitamin D, and other nutrients. It’s extremely rich omega-3 fatty acids can help us reduce cardiovascular disease, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other cognitive diseases. The popular way to cook salmon in the US is roasting or pan-frying, which requires oil such as butter to lock in the moisture of the fish. The skin of salmon has the highest concentration of omega-3 fatty acids. So, I cook salmon fillets with the skin on to keep the nutrients and oils in the flesh and eliminate the need for other unhealthy oils. Salmon is one of the fish that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends eating two to three times a week because of its health benefits. The nutritional value of salmon varies by species. Both farmed and wild are great sources of many key nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids, selenium, phosphorus and B vitamins. We can choose according to market supply and demand and our own preferences. I hope everyone learns this simple and healthy way to eat super nutritious salmon two to three times a week.
