These shots were taken before the single line was doubled and single line block working and staff exchange was still in operation. The Sligo liner freight is headed by 071 class no 078. If you watch closely you can see the signalman turning the gate wheel beside the window in the cabin to close the level crossing gates. For the up passenger the signalman takes the staff from the driver at the window! Enjoy! E
