👋 Hello friends,
In this video, I’ll show you how to make a Smart and Easy RFID Door Lock System using Arduino Nano, RC522 RFID Reader, and SG90 Servo Motor.
This project replaces traditional key locks with a modern contactless access control system using RFID technology.
Whenever a valid RFID card is scanned, the system unlocks the door for a few seconds and then automatically locks it again.
If an invalid card is detected, the system denies access and alerts the user with LED and buzzer indications.
It’s a great electronics project for students, hobbyists, and anyone who wants to learn real-world automation and security system development.
⏱️ Timestamps:
00:00 ▶️ Introduction
02:22 ▶️ Project Making Start
03:27 ▶️ Sponsor Segment
04:44 ▶️ Programming Arduino
07:22 ▶️ Making Connection
09:49 ▶️ Testing The Project
🧾 Components Required:
1. Arduino Nano
2. RC522 RFID Reader Module
3. RFID Cards or Tags (2–3)
4. SG90 Servo Motor
5. 5mm Red LED
6. 5mm Green LED
7. Active Buzzer
8. Push Button
9. Mini Breadboard & Jumper Wires
10. Arduino Nano Cable
11. Tower Bolt Door Lock
12. Project Base
🌐 Circuit Diagram:
📎 Available in the video or on my website → https://skrelectronicslab.com
⚙️ How It Works:
The RFID reader scans each card’s unique ID and sends it to the Arduino.
The Arduino compares this ID with the stored ones in its memory:
✅ If matched → The servo rotates to unlock the door, Green LED turns ON, and the buzzer beeps once.
❌ If not matched → Red LED blinks three times, and the buzzer sounds for denial.
After a few seconds, the servo automatically returns to its locked position.
The system also includes a Management Mode to add or remove cards easily without reprogramming.
🧠 What You’ll Learn:
RFID Technology Basics
EEPROM Data Storage
Microcontroller Programming with Arduino
Automation and Security System Design
Smart Access Control Logic
🧪 Real-Life Applications:
Smart Home Door Locks
Office and Lab Access Systems
Library Entry Automation
Parking Gate or Attendance Systems
🏁 Project Outcome:
The Smart RFID Door Lock System demonstrates how electronics and automation can improve everyday security.
It’s simple, efficient, and reliable — ideal for learning Arduino, RFID, and real-world embedded system design.
