Beach Landscape Let's get it done! Part 1

This is an indepth video showing the work I am doing to create this beach landscape top and explaining why exactly I am doing each thing I do or undo! I end the video knowing it needs time pinned to the design wall so I can look at it from a different position so I can make adjustments where I need to; and I do need to make adjustments. There are areas where I got off track by hyper focusing and need to go back and rework parts for a better general cohesiveness. This is part of the fun for me - like creating a puzzle. It helps to always consider the scene as a whole and to do that you must get some distance from it.

I will be making another video this week and we will follow this quilt through the fabric placement, into paints and dyes, and then embellishment with yarns, thread painting, and maybe beading and angelina fibers!
