Teq Correct Pro 20 PC Socket Set #TP8801A / GearWrench #8801A / Crescent #CSWS7N / Kobalt #0573336

Reviewing the TEQ CORRECT PRO 20 piece 3/8” drive Grab & Go socket set from Car Quest and Advance Auto Parts stores . These sets retail for about $40 but might be on sale for $20. By the time of this video Dec 2019 if this ain’t on sale when you check the link, just check back on the website from week to week for different sales and deals that will not show up in the google search, you have to enter the website to search for the real deals .
This is model #TP8801A it has the same model number as the Gearwrench 20 piece 3/8. Drive socket set of the same make and sizes, model #8801A but it’s actually a rebrand of the Crescent model #CSWS7N with the same sizes , all are made by Apex Tool group
You get a 60 tooth 3/8” drive ratchet, 6” extension bar, plus 18 SAE & Metric 12 Point standard size sockets
SAE sizes 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, & 13/16”
Metric sizes 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 17mm
It skips 16 & 19 ( which exchanges with 5/8 & 3/4”) but there’s no match for the 18mm so they should have added the 18 and a 7/8” size and it would be worth the typical retail price, otherwise I personally wouldn’t buy it or any other brand for $40 when Kobalt model #0573336 offers a ratchet, extension, spark plug socket and non-skipped sizes 5/16”-7/8” and 9mm-19mm for $32.00
Teq Pro, is Made In China from chrome vanadium steel with a polished chrome finish, die stamped Teq Pro name & size indicators on all pieces but no part numbers, metal indicator or country of origin ( Crescent is the same way) whereas the GearWrench version is Taiwan with those indicators and Kobalt is China with indicators plus color coding and laser etching in a secure case
Teq Pro comes on a Grab & Go socket rail for easy work on the go but they tools will fall off the tray unlike the kobalt case and the GearWrench is a bench top storage design
Teq Pro does have a lifetime warranty which is honored through Car Quest or Advance Auto Parts stores only, which Crescent is honored via their website or select stores, GearWrench is honored via several stores or www.gearwrench.com and Kobalt is limited to Lowes
Any of them on sale for $20-$25.00 is a good deal compared to their $40 retail price
The Teq Pro didn’t have any imperfections in the metal quality or chrome plating that I seen on this set and I’ve been using heir tools for nearly 1 year. So far they are a descent tool but for a future update video with final thoughts, you’ll have to subscribe .
