Direct Variation from a Table in Seconds! (y = kx)

Learn how to quickly identify direct variation from a table and write the equation.

In this YouTube Short, we check if the ratio y/x is constant across all values. When the ratio stays the same, it’s a direct variation, and we can write the equation in the form y = kx.

This example shows how to find the constant of proportionality and build the equation fast.

Aligned with CCSS 8.F.B.4, focusing on identifying and modeling linear relationships.
