Nilagang Baboy Recipe (Pork Stew)
Nilagang baboy or pork stew is a simple Filipino dish, but some cook it loaded with different vegetables and spices. You can pretty much add any vegetables and species, but just make sure to increase the measurement of the ingredients and taste it before removing from the heat.
Ingredients:
2 lb. boneless pork, cut into chunks
1 lb. string beans
1 lb. baby bokchoy
3 pcs. corn, cut into 3 parts
6 cups hot water
1 pc. yellow onion
1 tbsp. minced garlic
4 cubes pork bouillon
1 tbsp. unsalted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in medium heat.
2. Toss in onions and stir.
3. Add the meat and garlic then mix.
4. Cover until brown.
5. Flip the meat over and cover again until brown.
6. Add 6 cups of water and boil on high heat for 35 minutes.
7. Add the bouillon, corn, beans and bokchoy.
8. Cover and boil on high heat for 10 minutes.
9. Stir and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix.
