These Government School Kids Built AI Apps in 6 Hours 🤯

This 9-year-old child
can barely see properly.

But today—
he built his first mobile app.

While exploring the gap between public and private schools in India,
we realized something important—

👉 tech education is missing
👉 AI access is missing
👉 opportunities are missing

So we decided to conduct an offline AI Hackathon
for government schools across Maharashtra.

👉 27 teams
👉 150 students
👉 Many using a mouse for the first time

And after a 6-hour workshop on:

AI
ChatGPT
vibe coding
app building
presentations

…the students had to create projects from scratch.

What happened next blew our minds.

👉 AI chatbots
👉 Parent-teacher platforms
👉 App interfaces
👉 Live presentations

And when the winning all-girls government school team was announced—

👉 they cried.

Because many of these students come from villages and slum communities
where people assume they are “helpless.”

But maybe the real question is not—

👉 “Can they do it?”

👉 “Why haven’t we given them a chance yet?”
