Carrot Washing - Food Farm Slow TV

Food Farm Slow TV presents: Carrot Washing

Have you ever wondered how the Food Farm's self-sustaining system of organic agricultural practices results in such delicious and wholesome carrots?

Today's video takes you behind-the-scenes in our root cellar as the farm crew uses our state-of-the-art AZS Barrel Washer to make sure your carrots are sparkling clean.

We call our videos "Slow TV," which is a term used for a television genre that covers ordinary events over long periods of time in delightful detail. The concept was invented by Andy Warhol in 1963 with the premiere of his 320-minute film “Sleep,” but was reawakened by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 2009 when they mounted a camera on a train to capture the slowly changing scenery along the Bergensbanen for 7 hours.

We hope you enjoy this peek behind the curtain at the Food Farm. If you'd like to see a full hour of carrot washing, please visit our YouTube page or click on this link: https://youtu.be/gGz9R97Im2k
