Engineering: Offshore Wind Park

Offshore Wind Park.
In August 2016, Van Oord's offshore installation vessel Aeolus,
completed the turbine installation at the Gemini Offshore Wind Park.
All of the 150 turbines are successfully installed.
Van Oord was the EPC contractor (engineering, procurement and construction) for this project.
The contract involves supplying and installing the foundations,
the entire electrical infrastructure,
including the off and onshore high-voltage stations,
the cables and installing the Siemens wind turbines.
In the coming period, all turbines will be connected
and thoroughly tested. The offshore wind park will be fully operational mid-2017.
