कांदा उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना किमान 3000 रुपये प्रतिक्विंटल दर मिळावा, कमी दराने कांदा विकलेल्या शेतकऱ्यांना 1500 रुपये प्रतिक्विंटल अनुदान द्यावे आणि हा निर्णय संपूर्ण राज्यात लागू करावा, या मागण्यांसाठी अखिल भारतीय किसान सभेने अकोले तहसील कार्यालयासमोर काल जोरदार आंदोलन केले. आंदोलनकर्त्यांनी तहसील कार्यालयाच्या प्रवेशद्वारात कांदे ओतून सरकारच्या धोरणांविरोधात निषेध नोंदवला. सध्या कांद्याचे दर उत्पादन खर्चापेक्षाही खाली गेल्याने शेतकरी मोठ्या आर्थिक संकटात सापडले आहेत. या आंदोलनाचे नेतृत्व अजित नवले यांनी केले. आंदोलनापूर्वी अकोले शहरातून मिरवणूक काढून सरकारचे लक्ष वेधण्याचा प्रयत्न करण्यात आला.

The All India Kisan Sabha staged a vigorous protest yesterday in front of the Akole Tehsil office, pressing for the demands that onion-growing farmers receive a minimum price of ₹3,000 per quintal, that farmers who sold their produce at lower rates be granted a subsidy of ₹1,500 per quintal, and that this decision be implemented across the entire state. The protesters registered their dissent against the government's policies by dumping onions at the entrance of the Tehsil office. Farmers currently find themselves in a severe financial crisis, as onion prices have plummeted even below the cost of production. The protest was led by Ajit Navale. Prior to the demonstration, an attempt was made to draw the government's attention by organizing a procession through the town of Akole.
