Seamless Object Tracking at an Intersection (DEMO) | smartmicro®

Mounting a smartmicro sensor on the opposite side of each approach results in overlapping fields of view. This way, the inner part of the intersection is fully covered. By synchronizing these sensors, available as of 2021, a much higher detection, tracking, and classification accuracy is achieved.

The communication between the sensors enables seamless object tracking from approach to departure. By covering the entire intersection, it also provides a richer set of data for vehicle-to-infrastructure or, more generally, V2X communication.
