How to Add Shading with Cross hatching - Let's Practice

In this video, I explain my process for shading artwork with cross-hatching. This is a loose style for you to practice getting better at the concept. After you feel more confident with this type of shading you can try various lines with more weight and tapered effects.

First, focus on creating shadows to enhance your forms. Try to generate many levels of tone with these simple lines. This can be a great practice activity before inking your work.
