They Made This Tool ILLEGAL… So I Restored It 😳

I found this old machine in a scrap storage area where it had been sitting for decades.
Someone nearby joked that it looked like some kind of “illegal” device because of its aggressive chain mechanism.
At first glance, it really did look strange and suspicious.
But after a closer inspection, I realized it wasn’t illegal at all — just a heavily rusted vintage chain mortise used for woodworking.

The machine was completely seized, covered in thick rust, and barely recognizable.
So I decided to fully disassemble it, clean every part, remove corrosion, and restore the mechanical components.
From frozen bolts to worn springs, everything needed careful attention.
After hours of restoration work, the forgotten tool slowly came back to life.

What looked like junk turned out to be a powerful piece of industrial history.
