Jesus Cristo Martin Cantu and LRey former lead singer of Malo

Martin Cantu is the former lead vocalist of the Legendary Latin Rock Group Malo now a music minister who reproduced Malo's smash hit song "Suavecito" and reintroduced it as an epic Christian hymn. Now performed live by his electrifying Latin Soul gospel band L-Rey pronounced (El Rey). Martin toured and recorded with Malo between 1993-1997 co-writing two of Malo's last CD's Including the title track song "Senorita" and "Malo Rocks The Rockies" Martin is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the legendary Horn player Roy Murray, Guitarist Jorge Santana, Vocalist Arcelio Garcia and now Malo Anthology.

Martin's testimony is an event that completes one circle of his spiritual journey. In 1997 while on tour in Denver Colorado Martin testifies that after one of his concerts he went back to the promoters house and abused his body by overdosing on crack cocaine, the next morning Martin was revived by the breath of God and given a second chance at life. After regaining his composure Martin "happened" to turn on a television set that was located in the promoters living room and by devine appointment landed on a channel where evangelist Joyce Meyer was preaching. In fifteen minutes time Martin found him self on bended knees surrendering his batterd life to the Spirit of God, while reciting a sinners prayer, ultimately receiving Jesus Christ into his heart as his Lord and Savior. Martin now dedicates his musical gift to glorify the Lord. Twelve years later on October 10th 2011, Martin meets and is interviewed by Joyce Meyer herself delivering his amazing testimony to 25,000.00 plus people at her "Receive and Believe" conference held at the Arco Arena in Sacramento CA.
