The Genius Myth in modern design history and why we shouldn't blindly trust attributions

Modern design history is, like most history, based on the Genius Myth resulting in the false assumption that all great design objects were designed by a single person with close to superhuman skills. Collaborations and team efforts are often overseen. In this video we're taking a closer look at some great designers questioning if they really designed everything by themselves. The designers we're dealing with in this video is the Swedish ceramicist Stig Lindberg, the Swedish industrial designer Sigvard Bernadotte and the american designers Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson.
