Empowering Women with Disabilities (The SheLift Story: Part 1)
Twenty five-year-old Natalie Colapietro is a sassy wedding photographer from Massachusetts and pre-teen Ava Garnett hails from Staten Island, New York. Natalie was born without her lower left arm, and Ava endures chronic pain, the result of a gene mutation called Nail patella that affects her limbs, kidneys, eyes, nails and patella. Here the two girls buddy up to support each other through SheLift - a camp designed to build confidence in girls who live with physical differences.
