Happy Birthday, Kansas! Student Photo Contest Winners 2021
The Kansas Historical Society is excited to announce the winners of Happy Birthday, Kansas! Student Photo Contest 2021. Winners are announced in conjunction with Kansas Day on Friday, January 28, 2022. Congratulations to all the participants and winners for their wonderful submissions.
The statewide contest, now in its eighth year, invited students first through 12th grades to shoot photographs based on the theme, My Favorite Place in Kansas in 2021. The contest received 506 entries from 38 Kansas counties. First place in each grade receives an iPad and second place a Kindle. The annual contest is sponsored by the legislative spouses in conjunction with the Kansas Historical Society. Photographs from the winners can be seen online at kshs.org/18622.
